SigEp at the University of Georgia (GA Delta) was originally chartered in 1963.
After a long and rich history in Athens, SigEp at UGA hit a road block as the chapter went dormant from 1993-1998.
SigEp was founded on the cardinal principals of Virtue, Diligence, and Brotherly Love. In our founding, it was said that this fraternity will be different. After some internal reflection, GA Delta’s Alumni Volunteer Corporation (AVC) was determined to realign our organization with its history and roots to ultimately make a return on campus.
Sig Ep GA Delta was rechartered in 1998 as a Balanced Man Colony, and since then, SigEp has become - and continues to be - a force of leadership at the University of Georgia.
GA Delta is consistently ranked amongst the top IFC fraternities for grades, most recently posting a cumulative 3.55 GPA. GA Delta is also the leading fundraiser for its philanthropy, raising over $57,000 last year alone, which benefitted Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. GA Delta’s membership has led on campus in several ways including but not limited to student body government, orientation leaders, and visitors center tour guides. Our members are highly involved all throughout campus and the Athens community.
The leadership culture at GA Delta, combined with a robust social scene, consistently marks GA Delta as a top IFC fraternity at the University of Georgia.
